We are a female led family business and connecting with women, making women feel safe, seen and supported is our greatest goal. We want our brides to walk away feeling so happy and relieved they have had a wonderful experience. We turn the industry on its head by being steadfastly inclusive - all body shapes, sizes 6-36, all budgets, all backgrounds - we accomodate everyone and everyone is respected and given the same exceptional experience.
People often express suprise at the high quality of store, gowns and service in a small regional town but the secret is - no one will ever care as much about you than the people working in the shop who actually own the shop! We view it as a great privilege to take care of our brides and are so grateful they choose to trust us.
We are deeply connected with our community and support as many charities and events as possible from the Homeless Hub to the Cancer Council to local primary school fetes.
In 2023 we had the honour and privilege to dress our bride Kate, who was suffering from liver and bowel cancer. She visited us with her daughter and family and at the end of her appointment we were so proud to gift her her wedding gown. We then fundraised on our social media and gifted Kate $2500 to pay for her wedding reception and our owner Kim went on to participate in Stars of Nowra in honour of Kate and raise $45,000 in a dancing competition for the Cancer Council NSW and took home the Community Spirit Award. In January this year Kate text Kim a farewell message and passed away 12 hours later and broke our hearts. This has left a lasting impression on us of the importance small businesses play in a community and we are so grateful to be a part of Kate and so many people's stories.

South Coast Brides has been the recipient of three Shoalhaven Business Chamber Awards over the years including Excellence in Resilience, Excellence in Inclusion and in 2023 out of 7000 small businesses in the Shoalhaven proudly won Excellence in Small Business - a nod to the security and stability of our business.
